Google’s PageRank tweak is making the news
It looks like Google’s latest algorithm tweak is making the news. This interesting article in the Sydney Morning Herald again features Darren Rowse and Yaro Starak. Both advise “…that website operators need to become less reliant on Google for both traffic and revenue.”

Personally I think the quote below somes up the situation at the moment.
“It’s been said that Google owns the internet - it’s not a permanent grasp but as long as everyone’s using their search engine it’s very hard for anyone to get in and compete with them.”
Virtually all webmasters have an over reliance on Google for traffic and figuring out how to escape what is ultimately a volatile business model is something that requires both ingenuity and skill.
